Successful participation of the Rugby Village Hargelsberg in the United World Games in Klagenfurt

KLAGENFURT, HARGELSBERG. From June 22 to 25, the annual international United World Games took place in Klagenfurt. The Rugby Village Hargelsberg was represented with its U12 and U14 teams and was able to compete in exciting matches against teams from the Czech Republic, Germany, and Hungary.

State Sports President Martin Kühr expressed great satisfaction with the performance of the youth: “Our players had the opportunity to compete against international competition and did so extremely successfully.”

Section leader David Habichler is particularly proud of the excellent coaching team and the dedicated commitment of the players and their parents: “Our parents actively cheered and supported their girls and boys.”

Captain Valentin Kühr is enthusiastic about participating in the tournament: “It was a great experience to play with my team from Hargelsberg in Klagenfurt and to show how well we can play rugby in our small village.”

The U12 team from Hargelsberg fought hard for an outstanding fourth place, which is a remarkable achievement given the strong international competition.
